Everyone always tells me that I should get a full-time job to enjoy a stable income, receive benefits, and be set for retirement. But comfortability does not amount to happiness. I would rather make less money doing something I love than commit decades of my life to doing something I’m not passionate about.
This 100%. Our society has many ways of beating us into submission until we're living a life that's "normal" but not necessarily the life we want - and with the prevelance of social media and the profound impact it now has on our society, it's even harder to escape those societal standards. This quote resonated with me and I'm also still questioning whether the life I'm currently living is the life I want or merely just a life in pursuit of society's seal of approval. Great read.
